By cutting out the plumber, I saved more on construction than by doing any other single trade myself. Do your research before you start though, it has to be right before the concrete goes in. Also, I put the showers on 2nd floor to keep things simple under the slab.

I’m thinking of making a set of LED lights that I can mount to my fishtank to act as spotlights. How safe are LEDs when they get wet? Is there a way to use them underwater? Finally, what’s the best way to power them? I’m thinking of using a PC power supply, but suggestions will be welcome.

Hello I am considering starting a project of making a small pool/hot tub. I can do some masonry, electric and plumbing. I was going to go inground with a hot tub liner or split level with cinderblocks. After laying the blocks what kind of material do pool builders coat the pools with and what could I use? I have also considered a small prebuilt liner. Approx. 300 gallons. Does anyone have any info or links to order stuff I may need. I already have a pump and am looking to do this as CHEAP as possible. Thanks
